Reactor Bed Fouling

Reactor bed fouling can impact throughput, process efficiency and energy costs. As run lengths progress, organic solids and iron sulfide eventually build up on the top of the reactor bed and cause plugging. Plugging causes pressure drops across the reactor bed, limiting flow and potentially impacting catalyst activity. The economic deficits associated with reactor bed fouling are significant.
